Campus Planning

The goals of Campus Planning projects and activities are to:

Examples of campus planning projects include the development of the UC Davis Long Range Development Plan (LRDP), District Planning Guides (examples: South Entry District Planning Guide and the Health Sciences District Planning Guide), the Main Campus and the Russell Ranch, and site studies for Major Capital Projects (example: the upcoming building for the College of Engineering). Campus planners are also involved in community and regional planning activities.

Campus Planning is leading a special initiative to build a mixed-use residential commuity on campus, West Village. West Village will be home to over 4,000 faculty, staff and students, a village green surrounded by cafes and conveniences, the Davis Center for Los Rios Community College District, a satellite high school, and strong bus and bike connection to the heart of campus.
